Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PulseQueue, operated by Revanse, collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal data in connection with the website and party-hosting service available at `party.revanse.nl` and related local development environments.
What We Collect
- Party information such as party name, host name, join code, song requests, votes, queue actions, and fallback playlist choices.
- Spotify account data that the host authorizes through Spotify, such as Spotify account display name, playlists, library information, playback state, and playback controls.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, server logs, and basic security diagnostics.
How We Use Data
- To create and manage parties, queue songs, handle votes, and operate the host dashboard.
- To connect a host Spotify account and enable Spotify search, library access, playlist selection, and playback control.
- To maintain service security, detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Spotify Data
Spotify account access is provided through Spotify's authorization flow. PulseQueue only requests scopes needed for the features offered. Spotify data remains subject to Spotify's own terms, privacy notices, and developer platform rules.
Cookies and Storage
PulseQueue uses browser storage and similar local technologies for login state, Spotify session handling, and party continuity. Third-party services such as Spotify may also place cookies or similar technologies when their services are used.
Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We may share data with infrastructure providers, hosting providers, analytics or logging providers, and Spotify where needed to operate the service.
- We may disclose data when required by law, lawful request, or to protect the service, users, or rights of Revanse.
Retention and Rights
Party and operational data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, troubleshooting, safety, legal compliance, or legitimate business record-keeping. Depending on where a user lives, they may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing.
